FAQ:

Q...What is the purpose of this seminar?

A...Some brides want or need professional help planning their wedding (visit our services to select which option is best for you).  Some, however, want to plan their wedding without help but could really use a roadmap as they do so.  This seminar was designed with those brides in mind.  Brides will get all of the information they need to plan their wedding from A to Z in this one weekend seminar.  Stacy Parker, a nationally certified instructor, will share her proven formula for flawless planning as well as join local vendors to provide tips and secrets on decor and the industry as a whole.  All of this in addition to a fun, bride-focused experience with great food and awesome entertainment!

Q...I've already planned half of my wedding.  Will this benefit me?

A...Yes, in at least the following ways:

-As your wedding draws closer, there are often last-minute pitfalls that many brides aren't prepared for.  This seminar will point them out and teach you how to deal with them, if not avoid them completely.

-The planning guide will help you review the progress you've made up to this point to make sure nothing has been overlooked.

-You'll learn of small, yet effective, ways to personalize and elevate your decor that can be incorporated at any point.

-One of the most stressful times of the planning process is the week of the wedding.  With this guide, you'll be able to coordinate like a pro and actually enjoy the days leading up to your big moment.

Q...What will my registration fee include?

A...A planning guide to correspond with the topics covered (the information contained in this guide is equivalent to the information you would receive with Gala Productions' Cerise Package, valued at $1800), food and cake tastings throughout the event, decor ideas for all budgets, demonstrations from select participating vendors, fun interactive sessions like cake cutting practice stations and a fashion show, instructions and tips from Baton Rouge's leading vendors

Q...What if my fiancé can't come with me?

A...Your mother may substitute in his place.  If neither your fiancé nor your mother are able to accompany you, a bridesmaid, friend, or alternate family member may attend for the additional attendee fee of $15.

Q...What if I have additional questions?

A...Feel free to email your questions to stacy@imaginegala.com or call 225.439.6502.

Note from the creator of the "How to Plan a Wedding in a Weekend" seminar and owner of Gala Productions, Stacy Parker:

   Dear Bride,

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!  I'm so excited to be offering this seminar and know it will not only be a fun experience but will change the rest of your wedding planning.  This event was created because I see the struggles brides face on a daily basis and know that it doesn't have to be stressful.

Throughout my years of planning, I've seen countless brides come to me halfway through the process, having spent most of their budget and having a very long list of things still needing to be done and paid for.  I've thought, "If they'd only come to me sooner!" so many times.

I started in this business when I got married 7 years ago and had the most stressful day of my life...WITH a wedding planner!  I'd only hired a day-of coordinator and looking back on things, I can't really remember what she did other than direct everyone down the aisle.  I felt strongly that a bride should never feel that kind of stress on her wedding day and I knew a wedding planner should be more than a traffic director.  I now have this planning process down to a science.  It's amazing how easy it is when you have a roadmap.

This seminar is designed to help with those situations and more.  It's chock full of useful information from not only myself but all of the participating vendors as well.  I've hand-picked these vendors because of their quality service and bride-focused approach to weddings.  It makes such a difference!

The seminar will start with registration and introductions, during which time you'll be served lunch tastings from Sullivans-yum!  Next we'll start with the basics...budgeting.  We'll move on to venues and decor.  We'll have some demonstrations on decor setup and offer tips and ideas you can incorporate at any point in the planning process.

We'll finish this instructional session with vendor selection and move right into the vendor mixer.  This is going to be so much fun!  Vendors will be assigned to a booth and brides will move from vendor to vendor "speed date" style learning tips and tricks and asking any questions about that vendor's category.  For example, when you get to the makeup artist's booth, she will have some tips on how to keep your face fresh throughout the day and you can ask her what's the best foundation to use to avoid looking washed out in your pictures (or whatever subject you have questions about).  You also get to kind of interview vendors without having to drive from shop to shop...all of the vendors you need will be in one convenient location.  You make this session work for you!

When the mixer is over, we'll move to another room at Sullivan's and there will be a presentation on coordination while you enjoy dinner tastings.  Afterwards we'll move into the Ringside lounge for an interactive fashion show.  I say interactive because the presenter will make sure the focus of the show is not "Oh, look how pretty the new Vera Wang is," but rather, "This is a Vera Wang fit-and-flare.  Fit-and-flare means...."  We want it to be informational.

Afterglow is the last thing on the agenda and that's simply a time for brides and vendors to mix and mingle with each other and the vendors they met earlier, all while listening to a hot band and enjoying cake that they got to practice cutting.  Cake cutting sounds simple but so many brides look at me with terror in their eyes when they pick the knife up to cut their own cake so I thought it would be nice to give you a trial run so you'll know what you're doing when that time arrives.  Plus, who doesn't like to eat cake?!

We want this event to be informational and fun.  Wedding planning can be stressful but a lot of that stress comes from uncertainty.  We're firm believers in minimizing stress and not only will you have a relaxing day, you'll leave with the tools to keep your stress down from that point on!

Space is limited so be sure to register early and take advantage of pre-registration specials.  Visit our table at the next Out of the Box cocktail party to sign up or register above.

    Happy Planning,
      Stacy
